Agents and executives attending Agent Summit are invited to earn a new ACE certification targeting the Federal Trade Commission’s landmark Combatting Auto Retails Scams (CARS) Rule, including:
- The CARS Rule’s origins, intent and provisions
- How the rule will affect dealers, agents and product providers
- Penalties for noncompliance
The training will be led by Gil Van Over III, dealership compliance expert and executive director of ACE, and attorney and Mosaic Compliance Services founder Jim Ganther, and offered twice:
- Sunday, March 2, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The agenda includes two 50-minute training sessions divided by a 10-minute break, then another 10-minute break, then up to 40 minutes to complete the exam. Attendees are invited to take notes but will be provided with a study guide before the exam. Attendees may choose to take the exam onsite using any web-enabled laptop, tablet or smartphone, or anytime within 30 days of the session.
